Came in circa 8pm (they closed at 9) fully expecting to get the reheated after dinner rush scraps. Some of the food was a bit dried out but I wont lie it was still pretty good. I ate 2 different stacked plates of food and liked 90% of what I tried. Is it gourmet chinese? No its buffet and you should know what to expect. Its one of the few, if not only buffets I have gone to that didn't require me to suffocate my food in sauce to enjoy. NOTE: There is still a decent amount of food smothered in sauce, but it was good. I wouldn't call it clean or current, staff was tight though.

Came here before shopping. Had been here years ago and still find the establishment very clean. The staff are courteous and neatly attired. The food buffet is well organized and clean. All of the regular Chinese dishes are served as well as crab legs and a self serve sushi Bar. Over all a really good place to eat. The outside of the building is in need of some sprucing but not rundown. The location is out of the way but not hard to get to. We have come here many times over several years and will return!

Went in hour before they closed on a Saturday night - The cashier seen me struggling on what to order for take out suggested. That is when she suggested I just do a buffet take out and pay by the pound. I got to sample everything and feed 5 ppl for $31. What i was going to order before for 5 people was over $50. I was very happy about that!!! My one pet peeve was a small long winged bug in one sauces. It looked like a love-bug but it early March and not LB Season. It was not a roach. If it was i would never go back. But, there was SO MUCH GOOD going on here that i can look over this one bug. I plan on a full on visit to the buffet with the fam soon. From what I seen at the dinner buffet made me wanting more... of course an hour later I wanted more anyway bug or no bug. :) Good thing I had my Digest Gold Enzymes...they with digest anything. C U Soon :)

A long-time staple Chinese Buffet in Port Charlotte. My parents have been coming here at least once a week for 5 years. Clean, friendly service, good food, good selection.

I ate here usually once a week when I lived in the area and still try to go back there sometimes when I am in town. Some of the buffets you visit just seem sort of thrown together with not much thought given to how the food is presented, etc. This place is always very neat and clean and the owner seems to have taken a little pride in the appearance of his restaurant. One of the things that I liked the most about the Panda Inn was the sushi; they always had pretty decent sushi here. The staff were/are always very friendly and fast and that's a rare combination these days. This place is always a favorite with everyone that works in the area so it gets crowded at lunch time.

A solid 4 stars from me. Very clean restaurant. Number one in my book. The Chinese dishes are spiced well, no bland food here! Several buffet lines with a very nice Sushi bar and an ice cream parlor. I will be happy to recommend this stop if you are traveling the Tamiami Trail. Hand dipped ice cream, 6 flavors.

I have eaten here for years (on-and-off because...) I find every time it's like it has a different owner or chef. Very inconsistent Sometimes pretty good, sometimes pretty awful. Off times like mid afternoon the food is "old" on the buffet. I like that it has fewer dishes and they can concentrate on making them better which they sometimes do but often do not. If "they" are reading this I wish they would not become gourmet, just consistent and delicious and keep the place cleaner.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
